Mason Media released its inner diva to help the UK’s sexiest popcorn brand celebrate National Popcorn Day in style.
The food and drink specialist consultancy ensured that Diva Popcorn grabbed the headlines with the UK’s first air-popped flavoured popcorn brand. Among the coverage was a rave review from London Evening Standard food critic Charles Campion.
Diva Popcorn is a delicious new healthy flavoured popcorn made from 100% wholegrain and is gluten-free and high in fibre.
To keep it as healthy as possible, the tasty British made crunchy snack is air-popped – rather than oil-popped – which means it has the lowest fat levels possible.
So each single 21/23g bag contains about 100 calories and less than 0.4g saturated fat – making Diva Gourmet Popcorn ideal for guilt free grazing between meals or munched with a sandwich instead of crisps.
As it’s wholegrain it’s also full of antioxidants, vitamins B and E, minerals and fibre.
The Diva range – inspired by ‘pop’-ular culture- is available in four lip-smacking flavours including: Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar; Camembert, Gouda & Brie; Rock Salt; and Sweet Chipotle Chilli.
Each innovative savoury flavour is derived from real ingredients such as finely chopped sweet chipotle chilli and real Modena Balsamic vinegar.
Diva stockists include Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Dobbies Garden Centres, Wholefoods and many sandwich, farm and health shops. Each bag costs 85p.

Popcorn facts
- Popcorn has been around for centuries. Indians used to pop corn kernels over fires or sizzling hot stones more than 5,000 years ago. The English who came to America in the 16th and 17th centuries learned about popcorn from the Native Americans.
- Popcorn or 'popping corn' is maize which expands from the kernel and puffs up when heated. Corn is able to pop because, unlike other grains, its kernels have a hard moisture-sealed hull and a dense starchy filling. This allows pressure to build inside the kernel until an explosive "pop" results. Some strains of corn are now cultivated specifically as popping corns.
- Flavoured popcorn is hugely popular in America and is seen to be the next big thing in snacking in the UK.
- Popcorn is usually eaten in the cinema or covered in toffee but it is rapidly becoming a popular choice of healthy snack for people who want an alternative to crisps.
- Fans of popcorn include Madonna, who lived on a popcorn diet before she became famous.
- When popped, popcorn comes in two basic shapes. Snowflake and mushroom.
